A lot of our customers come today saying their Android phone keep crash when opening app. After we investigate we found that this is not Malaysian issue but rather global. Android user from all over the world have complained that multiple apps in their phones could not be opened. This issue does not affecting iPhone user but only those with mobile phone equipped with Android system such as Samsung, Oneplus, Google Pixel, etc.
How happened? Why the my Android phone App crash?
According to Google, it was an internal WebView program that caused some Android system applications to crash, and they’re currently trying to solve the issue.
How to fix the App crash?
According to “9to5google” suggested that affected users can log in to their Google Play store, search for “Android System WebView” and uninstall it, and then restart the phone. However, some people said that the method was effective, but others complained that the problem was still unresolved.
For whatever reason if that does not work, you can also try to go system Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Android System WebView > tap the three-dot overflow menu in the top-right corner > Uninstall updates > OK. These instructions are for Android 11 on Pixel phones, but it should be a similar process on other OS versions and OEM devices.
