What is Jaringan Prihatin?
Jaringan Prihatin is an initiative by the Government of Malaysia where approximately RM2 billion is allocated for Malaysians who qualify for Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (“ACA”), in the form of subsidized telco packages in collaboration with telecommunication Service Providers. The benefits that this program offer is an assistance of RM300 for the purchase of a new device and RM180 for an Internet plan.
Who can apply and how to apply?
If you’re a Malaysian citizen and eligible for Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat, you can participate in this program. Check your eligibility through the official website of Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) here https://bpr.hasil.gov.my/. Next what you need to do is, register as a customer at a participating communications company like Maxis, Digi, Celcom etc. Decide whether you want to purchase a new device or purchase a monthly internet data plan. And that’s it! You can now enjoy free data with the additional data on offer! Registration is from May 5, 2021 to July 31, 2021.
