On 19th October 2021, Google recently made Android 12 accessible to developers and device manufacturers and now it’s coming to the rest of us—at least if you have a Pixel 3 or newer.
Android 12 comes with a number of new features, including a redesigned UI and a design language called “Material You”. Widgets have also been updated. There are a number of new security features, including little notifications that alert you when apps use components like your phone’s camera or microphone.
Google is discontinuing support for the original Pixel and Pixel 2 (RIP). Therefore, the Pixel 3 and up will be the first phones to receive Google’s dynamic color experience in Material You. Other than that, It uses color extraction algorithms based on your phone’s wallpaper. Both default Android wallpapers and wallpapers you’ve added yourself to create matching accent colors that will be automatically applied to the rest of your Pixel’s interface and menus.

Other changes in Android 12 include a new extra dim brightness option to allow you to view your phone more comfortably at night, and support for scrolling screenshots. and the ability to begin playing new games from the Play Store before they are entirely downloaded.
On the privacy concern, Android 12 makes it simpler to see which applications are accessing your location data, with a new option that allows individuals to select between providing an exact position or a more broad estimated location. This function is for someone who is concerned about giving too much identifying information.
In addition, for those thinking about purchasing a new Pixel 6, Google has included a new data transfer tool. This tool allows you to effortlessly transmit applications, media, and messages from an old Android device or iPhone via wifi.

How to get the new Android 12?
To obtain the update, go to your Pixel’s Settings menu and look for System Update, then tap the Download and install option (or Check for updates if the download button isn’t currently present).
So, when will Android 12 be available for non-Pixel devices? Google said the update will be available for Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, and Xiaomi phones later this year.
