Don’t let the name “lite” fool you. Because the new Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is pack with some powerful feature. Alongside with Xiaomi 11T series launches, Xiaomi also releases a new version of previous Xiaomi 11 Lite. The new Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is equipped with the same specs and features offered by the original model that was released in March 2021. But with the exception of its processor and some features enhancement.
Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE specs
Much like it’s previous predecessor, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE comes with a flat 6.55-inch AMOLED DotDisplay which features a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit TrueColor and Dolby Vision support, as well as a punch-hole camera cutout on its upper left. Also onboard is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, IP53 dust and splash resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for its display.
What’s the new upgrade?
What’s new to this particular model is its chipset, which is faster & 5G-enabled Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G (as opposed to 732G included in original Xiaomi 11 Lite). Others, like memory configuration of 8GB for RAM and up to 256GB for internal storage, which can also be expanded via microSD. It is powered by a decently-sized 4,250mAh battery that comes with 33W fast charging support via USB-C.
At the back of NE is the same triple camera setup as before. Consisting 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle, and a 5MP telemacro – Able to shoot video up to 4k at 30fps. Meanwhile, the front camera is slightly different from the original 16MP to 20MP for selfie camera.
Comes with new features Xiaomi’ AI SkyScaping for photography and AI-powered One-click function for video recording – AI Cinema features, cinematic video filters and a Vlog mode.
Compared to previous model comms, It has support for 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC too. While the Mi 11 Lite had NFC, it was limited to 4G LTE, WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1.
Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm audio jack, but the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE does have stereo speakers.

Currently on sale starting on 24 september, with a starting price of RM1,399. As for the color, it will be available with Truffle Black, Bubblegum Blue, Peach Pink and Snowflake
