A lot of iPhone users are complaining that their Face ID not working after update to iOS 14/13. It worked the first time when they setup the phone. Reboot your iPhone.
Many people have tried to reboot their iPhone or iPad and it really worked. Just hold the power button and volume button; drag the “slide to power off” turn off iPhone. Press the power button to reboot it.
If the Face ID still won’t work after restarting. Then try force reboot. Press the Volume Up button and release, and then press the Volume down button and release. Finally, press and hold the power button until the Apple logo appears on iPhone screen.
Set date and time & set itself automatically.
One of the possible causes of Face ID stop working may be related to the date changing. What you can do is easy. Just go to Settings -> General -> Date & Time to set the date and time to set itself automatically. Then restart iPhone or iPad, and it should response again.
Reset All Settings.
If you have tried all the above methods and failed to fix Face ID problem. Reset all settings could be a good choice. Please note that this will reset all settings on your device. But don’t worry it will not erase the data.
